This patient presented with
problems including crowded, missing, decayed and broken restorations. After
removal of decay beneath the old “Civil War Technology” silver
amalgam fillings, the back teeth were restored with porcelain bonded
onlays, crowns and a bridge that replaced the missing tooth. Veneers
and crowns brought the front teeth into alignment and symmetry… instant
Orthodontics!

This patient presented with
the classic “gummy” smile. Through a periodontal “gum
lift” we were able to reposition the height of her gum tissue
to display a very pleasing “golden proportion”. Additionally,
the old opaque porcelain to metal caps on the front teeth demonstrated
the dark color typically seen around the gums of teeth with metal
margins shining through the gum tissue. What a fabulous transformation!

This seventeen year old girl
wore braces for three years. With less than ideal oral hygiene decalcification
of the enamel surface resulted in the orange stain, decay and inflamed
tissue. With porcelain veneers and a lot of coaching in home
care, she now has a smile that shines…

This patient shows the typical
yellowish or brownish-grey discoloration caused by the antibiotic “tetracycline.” During
childhood while the teeth were developing, this patient was given
multiple courses of the antibiotic which became incorporated in the
tooth structure. These teeth were prepared for porcelain veneers. We
were also able to correct the misalignment of that front tooth!

This patient presented
with large, broken down silver “amalgam” fillings
in many of the back teeth. We like to refer to this material
as Civil War technology. In nearly all cases we find decay
and other debris underneath these restorations. After their
removal, the photographs show we have restored these teeth to optimal
health and function for the long term. As an added bonus
to the improved health of these teeth, they are cosmetically pleasing
as well!

This young lady wanted a bright,
pleasing, white, perfect smile! The result was achieved by
a complete full mouth reconstruction. With a combination
of porcelain veneers, crowns, and a removable partial denture to
replace the missing back teeth her dream was realized!

This patient has an obvious
lone standing porcelain to metal crown on one of the front teeth. It
looks somewhat opaque in color plus the gum tissue around the margin
of the restoration looks dark due to the shine through of the metal
margin at the gum line. With a single new all porcelain restoration,
this tooth no longer “sticks
out like a sore thumb!”

In this patient’s smile
by placing six porcelain veneers her front teeth went from crowded
and chipped to perfectly beautiful!

This patient presents the typical
result of a lifetime of “one tooth at a time” dentistry… silver
amalgam fillings, a gold onlay, porcelain fused to metal crowns and
a single cap on one of the front teeth that screamed “I’m
fake.” A comprehensive “blueprint” for her
mouth yields the results of a well planned optimal reconstruction
for health, function and cosmetics.

In this particular case, the
patient had always disliked the space “diastema” between
his two front teeth. In addition, he wanted an improvement
in the shade and the symmetry of the teeth. His teeth were
restored with bonded porcelain veneers, the space was closed and
the ideal “golden proportions” were established to
achieve this fabulous cosmetic result.

In this patient the missing
teeth were replaced with single implants. The lower front
teeth were wearing down on their edges as well as having spaces
between them. All the spaces were able to be closed and the
teeth built back in size to their proper form for long term health. The
old chipped porcelain fused to metal crown, and the two cast gold
restorations were replaced with bonded porcelain restorations. The
result….. Beautiful.
