Good to know that dentists are giving patients a chance to work with them in making a blueprint for their mouth. This is a nice way of having a patient-dentist relationship also.

Excellent Article Dr. Crane. We are seeing the same thing here on the west coast and we can't stress enough to patients that acting preventatively can save more money, time, possible loss of teeth and pain in the long run. In addition, so many people that are fortunate to have some type of benefit left through employment are letting their valuable insurance benefits evaporate every year. If they were to properly use these benefits and discuss with their dental office how they can maximize their benefits whether subsidizing patient reponsible portions with in house financing or interest free options, they can truly make those "benefits" work for them. We are encouraging patients here to get a comprehnsive exam and plan that will help them prioritize their prevenative care. Many insurance commpanies will cover 100% of diagnostic and preventative care in addition to the yearly allowed maximum. So patients know your benefits, call your HR department and get that booklet. Bring your benefits plan to your dental office and let them show you how you can be preventative and save money in the long run while having a healthy beautiful mouth!!!

There are basically two types of implants. Those that are placed on the jaw bone, but under the gums, and those that fit into the jawbone similar to the root of a natural tooth. Each type offers solid, non–mobile support for replacement teeth which act and feel like natural teeth. Since both types are attached to your jawbone they can provide distinct advantages over traditional methods of replacing missing teeth.
•	Implants restore proper chewing function and so you can enjoy foods previously too “Difficult” to eat.
•	You feel confident that your replacement teeth won’t move or loosen.
•	You regain the closest thing to the look, feel and function of your natural teeth.
•	Throw away those sticky adhesives.
•	Forget about unsightly partial denture clasps which place damaging pressure on remaining natural teeth.
•	Eliminate irritated and painful gums.
•	Improve your speech by eliminating or reducing the “Fullness” of full or partial dentures.
•	Replace missing teeth with the look and feel of natural teeth without having to “Cut down” healthy teeth.
•	Dental implants help stop the progressive bone loss and shrinkage of your jawbone by “Mimicking” the roots of natural teeth.
•	Dental implants are clinically proven with a success rate in excess of 90%.

It's great to know that more and more dentists are practicing eco-dentistry. Not only are they providing patients alternative practice but they are also earth-friendly. I agree that going green, even in dental field is healthier not only to the environment but also for us.

Chuck,
I would like to know how your event went out at Lakewood Ranch in December. Several friends of ours told us about. I've opened a new practice in Noblesville. Hope things are well. Give my office a call when you get a chance. 317.776.1300
